These are observed online sales, not the total market, since offline retail sits outside them.
Of the large functional segments that Moojing classifies, cognitive support grew +24.3% and cardiovascular health +23.8% in the first half of 2026, well ahead of the +9.5% for online health and wellness sales as a whole, while bone and joint health, one of the three largest segments at CN¥ 9.09 billion, grew +14.1%. The segments are Moojing's classification of products by the need they are sold on and overlap, so they do not add up to the total.
Fish oil and Omega-3 and CoQ10 were the two largest ingredients in the cardiovascular health segment in the first half of 2026, at CN¥ 2.91 billion (+41.1%) and CN¥ 1.61 billion (+47.3%), and krill oil, at CN¥ 550 million (+56.9%), grew fastest of the major ingredients, according to Moojing Market Intelligence.
The report follows China's online health and wellness market in the first half of 2026 in four chapters: online sales as a whole, with their brands and functional segments; cardiovascular health; bone and joint health; and three directions in which the category is moving, towards combinations of ingredients, products designed for more narrowly defined shoppers and occasions, and easier formats. It draws on observed online sales on mainstream e-commerce platforms in China and on social-media conversation on major Chinese platforms.
